| Amen Whiplash Music was first started out of frustration from dreamy drum n bass being refused as a serious party style. As this was my primary style FBI or def con III, as it was back in '97 was set up as a stable for like minded musicians to play this exciting new music.
Some people still may say that this style is still abit too radical for them but it is vastly growing, and becoming the leading style of music. After all, where do you go where you don't hear about it? Drum 'n' Bass is probably one of the only styles that is keeping the faith, as most other styles have slowly faded away, this is still moving up and getting better, And as it grows it is attracting more and more people into the Drum 'n' Bass scene. Paradee has put all is years of Dj experience into this web site to let you hear for yourself what can be done with this music. Il show you some of the music that i have created from scratch at home and even some of the music that i have put together for a weekly mix so you can hear for yourself what i can do on the decks I started mixing around '93 when it was all jungle, jungle techno major players of mine were top buzz, ratty, ltj bukem but found 95 jungle all got abit messy for my liking so turned to the shoulder of intelligence (good looking records) to cry on. More recently drum n bass I feel is starting to grow its teeth back so the labels I go for at the moment are renegade, wild style, and moving shadow. Cu base is the main sequencer i use and i also use reason to sequence beats to be sampled by Kontact program, cool edit pro (by syntrillium) is my wave editor. Other programs are soft synths, albino by rob papen, native instruments fm7 and pro53. Hopefully alot of people in the music business should recognize these programmes as they are used by all the major Dj's and producers. I also use other programmes such as fruity loops and Traktor. Traveling all over the country, I have been accepted into loads of different clubs as a Dj and Mc. I have been mixing all different styles of music from techno to drum 'n' bass for about 15 years, but have been drawn more and more to Drum 'n' Bass music. Eventually I plan to have a big enough portfolio to dj purely my own music. Take a look at what Amen Whiplash has to offer the music scene, and we hope you enjoy what you hear... |
